Company Overview
Stan Johnson is one of the nation’s largest leading real estate brokerage and advisory firms. Now in its fourth decade of operation, Stan Johnson Company has completed more than $45 billion in transactions nationwide and has expanded its online presence to better serve their valued clients. The company prides itself in being a collaborative and supportive network of real estate professionals.
The Ask
As Stan Johnson was expanding their services beyond net-lease, their website would require additional functionality in order to meet the demands of this target audience. They also knew their site’s design was aging and was built with a dated content management system. With such a complex project planned, they embarked on an RFP process. They were so wowed by the ABT team that they left a 5-year relationship with their previous website vendor when awarding us with this Drupal website redesign project.
Our Drupal Website Redesign Process
Discovery
By beginning with an extensive discovery process, we were able to design and develop a strategy specific to both internal stakeholders and external visitors who were using Stan Johnson’s website. We conducted user interviews and stakeholder interviews and developed user personas to get a well rounded understanding of business and user needs. Atlantic BT led several workshops for organizing information architecture and property search fields.
Development
As a part of the Drupal website redesign, ABT had to undertake the complex task of replatforming Stan Johnson’s content management system from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 (if you know, you know). We also integrated their Drupal 9 with their CRM platform, Salesforce, so their property data would be accessible and part of their website user search indices.
Design
We started the design process by creating 3 variations of a concept board that aimed for a bold yet clean design. Wireframes were crucial for mapping out the property search tool for the best user experience. The final design highlighted the most common tasks on the website, whether the user was looking to buy, sell, finance or exchange. The design focused attention on the most important asset at Stan Johnson: the people.
Delight
The final Drupal website redesign offers Stan Johnson’s users a versatile approach to finding properties that fit within their search criteria, while acting as a showcase for both brokers and clients looking to sell. The redesigned website attracts new clients for Stan Johnson, recruits top talent for the company, and increases broker retention. The partnership between Stan Johnson and Atlantic BT continues as we work to maintain their website through security, data cleanup and bug fixes.
