Comfort Monster strives to improve their internal processes to reduce time on certain tasks and improve efficiencies for staff and customers alike. Intrigued by the potential of Artificial Intelligence to streamline their operations. However, they noticed a gap in practical advice for businesses interested in AI tools. To bridge this gap, Comfort Monster turned to Atlantic BT, leveraging our expertise in AI consulting, to explore how AI could best be integrated into their existing processes effectively and efficiently.

Our AI Discovery began with individual consultations with each department head. We asked them about the specific workflows of each department, their duration, and the number of personnel involved. Leveraging the information gathered from these interviews, we identified the workflows with the most potential for AI integration. Following this, we conducted contextual inquiries for each of the workflows and mapped them out into detailed experience maps. The maps were instrumental in highlighting areas for improvement, enabling us to formulate customized AI recommendations tailored to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the board.

We recommended several AI strategies and tools that would help improve Comfort Monster’s current processes. Field scheduling optimization is among the most impactful AI recommendations produced from this Practical AI Roadmap Process. This way, technicians would be smartly matched with jobs to reduce travel times and maximize job completion. Optical character recognition could potentially read serial numbers, makes and models when technicians are at a job site.
