Content Inventory

  • Cin Content Inventory

A content inventory is both the process and result of cataloging and organizing the entire contents of a website, including html pages, metadata, images, video files, document files, etc. It functions as a quantitative analysis of the site, answering the question of “what is there?”

Often in spreadsheet format, this full inventory of content will help us to better understand the breadth, depth and general volume of information on the site. The website inventory is also useful for addressing existing technical issues, configurations and functionality. This inventory can be the basis of an associated content audit and will be utilized for information architecture, content migration and general digital strategy of a new site.
