Accessibility Audit

At Atlantic BT, we place a strong emphasis on adhering to accessibility standards in all our web and software development projects. Accessibility standards not only ensure that digital products are designed and built to be inclusive and usable by those with disabilities, but also benefit everyone. These standards are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which provide specific criteria for creating accessible content and interfaces.

We follow a two step process in our audits in order to report on adherence to accessibility standards. Our developers use scanners such as Rocket Validator to help provide a baseline for HTML accessibility errors on the site. Additionally, we conduct manual accessibility evaluation using keyboard-only navigation and screen readers to catch errors that the scanners routinely miss. We aim to create digital solutions that are compliant with legal requirements, promote inclusivity, improve user experiences, and demonstrate our commitment to creating a more accessible online environment for everyone.
