I want an eBay
- I want to design a site like eBay and have gotten estimates from $5,000 to $20,000. Which estimate should I choose?
The simple answer is don’t choose either estimate. Anyone who is estimating that they can build eBay for $20,000 either works for less than a nickel an hour or doesn’t have any idea what it really takes to create a site of that complexity. Sure you can create a site with a few of the features if you know what you are doing, but due to the transactional nature and intricacies in a variety of areas, simply recreating eBay’s successful site for any figure a normal business owner would invest isn’t even remotely realistic.
