Meet Tori Pratt
After moving around a lot as a small kid and spending my adolescence in a tiny town called Indian Trail, I, as most Indian Trailians, was quite eager to leave as soon as I could. I headed for college at NCSU thinking I was moving 250 miles away, but apparently that wasn’t quite far enough for my parents. Two months into my first semester of school, they gave me a two-week warning, and moved 2,500 miles away to Houston TX. So, that summer I did as any 18 year old would do; I got rid of all of my belongings, packed one suitcase, flew to TX, and drove a tiny red Miata for 20 hours straight back NC where I officially adopted Raleigh as my new home.
I spent the following three years watching movies and getting A’s for it as I double majored in media communications and film studies at NC State. In addition to watching movies, I spent a lot of time in school taking courses in media analysis, interactive multimedia, communication research and film production. After graduation, I quit my restaurant job and spent a few wonderful months living off of grad money, traveling around and watching a lot of Netflix. When it came time to start working again, I naturally gravitated to a position as an Internet Marketing Strategist with a small web design company in the Raleigh area. There, I refined my love of the internet, I learned a lot very quickly and eventually made my way here!
Outside of work, I spend a lot of my time doing what I can to help my husband, Sean, open his retail craft beer store, Tasty Beverage Company. Of course, this usually involves staying out of the way and taste testing, so it’s really a best case scenario. Things I love include candy, vacations, Netflix, other people’s pets and babies, my sisters, craft beer and people who make a lot of puns.

As an Internet Marketing Specialist at Atlantic BT, Tori works closely with the development of a website all the way through the execution and ongoing marketing of the client’s individual goals. She helps ensure the sites we design make sense from a marketing standpoint with an effective message and clear call to action. Through onsite SEO and PPC campaigns, she drives traffic to our clients' websites and makes sure that once the visitor gets there, they are engaged enough to interact. With a heavy focus in researching what works, she helps clients market their business in a way that increases return on investment (ROI), achieves their business goals and grows their client base. Tori received dual BAs, in both Communications and Arts Applications, from NC State University.
