I’m a native North Carolinian, originally from Charlotte.  I am the fourth of five kids, sandwiched between two brothers (which probably explains a lot once you get to know me).  I have one daughter who is the light of my life - the best thing I've ever done!  I relocated to Raleigh in 2007, and love it here - so much better on the traffic front while having so many things to do and see here. 

Those who know me best would say that I’m not really good at sitting still.  I spend my free time staying connected with a fabulous group of friends and family back in Charlotte and Southern Pines, or traveling to sights yet unseen - or back to a few favorite spots like Bar Harbor, Maine, or Key West, Florida.  When at home, I am always looking for a home renovation or yard project to keep me busy and out of trouble, though I have been known to knock down a wall that wasn't meant to come down - something about it being a structural wall (Yikes!).

As Human Resources Manager, some of the things Teresa is responsible for include: recruiting, compensation and benefits, workforce development, employee safety, employee satisfaction and HR legal compliance.  Teresa serves on the Company’s Culture Club which is dedicated to finding collaborative opportunities to keep our employees engaged and having fun.  Teresa has more than 20 years of human resources experience, working in both regional and local HR roles.  She earned her HR Certification from Duke University, and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the HR Certification Institute.  She is a Notary Public for the State of North Carolina and a North Carolina Real Estate Broker (provisional status).  She is active in the national SHRM organization, and both the Triangle and the Raleigh-Wake Human Resources Chapters.
