I was born as a child of the awesome 80’s, somewhere in Florida to a couple of Canucks. When I was young we moved to North Carolina where I grew up drinking sweet tea. With these polar extremes, and suffering from the "middle-child-syndrome" comes my great personality. It's always been a struggle. I also get picked on a lot because my family is French Canadian—two reasons in one. But aside from other people’s jealousy, I’m not all that interesting.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my wife Lena. She's the better looking and more interesting part about me. We watch a lot of movies, we cook together (she makes the best crêpes), and we enjoy hiking and walking our dog Bauer. The rest of my free time is spent playing and coaching soccer, playing foosball, painting or making some kind of art, brewing beer with my buddies, and watching some of my favorite TV shows. When I get the opportunity, I also love to ski and rock climb. At  home I usually try to stay away from the computer.

I graduated from NC State University with a degree in Visual Art. At State, I also played club ice hockey for 2 years and learned to dislike the other ACC teams. Go Pack!

For Atlantic BT

I’ve been working for Atlantic BT since 2004, so I’m one of the “originals.” I can still remember the early days, which we often joke about—the days before we had a foosball table. It’s interesting to look back and see how far we’ve come and how much we’ve grown. I’m proud to have been an integral part of that growth. Every day has something new to learn, and I’m surrounded by a lot of talented people who are equally as passionate about their field. I’m really quite blessed to have all this knowledge and these resources at my fingertips.

Around here, I’m known as the company standards & web standards enforcer as well as the CSS guru. But technically, I’m just the Senior Designer. Several years ago I helped push our company in a better direction with project development guidelines for following web standards, semantic markup, accessibility and CSS based layouts. And since these things seem to be what I’m most passionate about, I fit nicely in that role.

More recently, I’ve become obsessed with unobtrusive JavaScript and the jQuery library. In the past it’s been XML, PHP, and blogging software. And, maybe someday I’ll get over my dislike for Microsoft and learn .Net. This quest for new and greater things I haven’t learned yet is why I love working here so much.
