I was born and raised north of Boston Massachusetts and spent lots of time in Conway, New Hampshire and Maine. I attended the University of New Hampshire and majored in English. 

After floundering in the corporate world for a few years I realized that I had a knack for analyzing data and design. I attended Boston University's Computer Education Program and went through their Web Development program.  I worked through the Dot-Bomb era at a small start up in Maine and from there onto Unum in Portland Maine where I worked for 7+ years designing, writing and leading teams of developers on their Enteprise Web Applications and working most recently on their award winning SOA platform.

I truly enjoy trying to learn about new technologies and teaching others how to use them. In my "off' time I have been spending some time trying to learn Ruby on Rails, PHP, WCF, WPF and Silverlight.

When I am not messing around with "the" computers, I can be found skiing, hiking, mountain-biking, kayaking, reading, listening to music, beach combing and churning out movie quotes. My greatest passsion lately is starting to read the Harry Potter series to my two kids!
