Meet Colin Butler
As I drew near to completing my degree in Computer Science as an undergraduate at NC State, I found that I had accidentally fulfilled nearly all of the requirements to get an English minor just because I loved literature and writing classes so much. I did the paperwork and one Medieval British Literature class later, I had my English minor.
I’ve always been a card-carrying member of the nerd set; but at the same time, I couldn’t help but be drawn to more human pursuits as well. It’s me in a nutshell. I love technology, but I can’t live without art. I enjoy horror films and video games, but I also love literature and poetry. I ’m a gadget nerd and a swing dancer. Daft Punk’s Alive 2007 CD is the greatest live album ever, and Carmen is my favorite opera of all time.
It only makes sense then that I find my groove in working where humans meet technology. User experience design “clicked” with me from the moment I discovered it, and I love meeting the challenge of helping users have effective, enjoyable and engaging experiences.
