Position: ASP Programmer

Atlantic BT is seeking a dedicated, hardworking ASP programmer with strong communication skills. The ASP programmer will be responsible for building and customizing e-commerce applications, maintaining existing ASP code, optimizing Microsoft SQL queries, and developing custom ASP solutions. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to find creative solutions to problems that may present themselves in existing and/or pre-fab systems and be able to develop efficient code that maintains low server load times.
This position requires the ability to work with clients -- providing consultation, planning, and suggestions for effective solutions. Responsibilities may change over time based on the needs of the company and on the employee's skills and interests.

Atlantic BT is a fast-growing web development/hosting/marketing company focused on small to medium sized businesses. The success of our business is dependent on keeping our clients well-informed and happy. We are looking for someone who will help maintain the high level of service our clients have come to expect. Our business hours are Monday - Friday 8:30-5:30.
Requirements
- Minimum of a AA / AS or related technical degree preferred
- Must possess strong Microsoft SQL Server database architecture and implementation skills with experience in efficient Microsoft SQL usage
- Solid web programming experience in a Windows environment
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures used in Microsoft Technologies
- Responsible for the development, deployment and support of enterprise production applications
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming - must be able to follow code flow and troubleshoot code
- Programming logic, good code writing style and commenting are a must
- Comprehensive understanding of HTML (Dreamweaver)
- Must possess a good understanding of the Internet
- Dependable and professional
- Self-motivated, quick learner
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to recognize tasks that need to be completed and willingness to take responsibility for them
