 I
have a great appreciation for the arts, whether it’s gallery
hopping in Chelsea, NY or attending Artsplosure annual festival in
downtown Raleigh. I fancy photography, b&w photo darkrooms,
and making interactive art installations (see
Max / MSP). School provided me with an outlet to learn new
concepts, techniques, and explore and refine my ideas. I received
my BFA in Photography from the University
of Florida (Only school EVER to have reigning Men's Basketball and Football Champions in the same school year! – Go Gators!). I followed this up with
a MFA in Computer Graphics from Syracuse
University. Yes I know, I did the questionable jump from
the sunny beaches of Florida to Blizzard Country, but
you have to be open to new experiences. It was a great experience nonetheless. We did get to travel quite a bit including to our most favorite place to visit – New York City.
Outside of the digital realm, my time is well spent with family, friends and my dear husband (just married!). I really enjoy listening
to music, going to shows, dancing, whitewater rafting (this is new) and learning new things.
I am surprisingly good at playing pool; at least I like to pretend
I am. My imagination provides me with this luxury.
I love my job, and working with an extremely talented group
of individuals’ day in and out makes my job that much
more rewarding.
